Universal Studio

Hey Bloggeristsa, on July 10 my family and I went to Universal Studios! I have not gone to Universal since I was one. It was super cool seeing everything! We basically did everything in one day which is great! [BEWARE: I say "cool" too much in this blog post, so don't judge my vocabulary ;) ]

The first ride we went on was the Despicable Me ride, and it was awesome and cute and adorable all at the same time.

I had to take the typical tourist pictures and guess what... I became a DIRECTOR! ;)

I don't know why, but I think I fell in love with minions! They are so adorable and cute and I can't even.

I got excited when I saw this cause you know my obsession with France.
We also saw Scooby Doo and the FAMOUS car they drive! It was pretty cool!

After eating lunch, we decided to go on the Studio Tour cause it's a MUST!

It took us about an hour to get onto the ride, but trust me, it was worth it.

The tour guide told us that this area is filmed a lot for movies and even music videos! If you've seen Big Fat Liar, you'll know a lot of the main scenes were filmed in Universal and it was really cool seeing it in real life!

This is THE clocktower where Back to the Future was filmed! The clock was taken out for other filming projects, but was recently put back in for it's 30th anniversary this year! It kind of felt like I was in the movie and was super cool to see in real life.

This is that one part in Big Fat Liar when the water comes flooding down onto the "bad guy". It's probably one of the top five unique sights in the Studio Tour.

Dippin' Dots was calling our name ;) We got cookies & cream and Rainbow Ice.

One of the shows that we as a family watch the most is I Love Lucy. We all grew up with Lucy on our television in B&W, so when we saw her at Universal we HAD to take a picture with her! It definitely put a smile on our face.

For dinner we had Panda, and i really wanted to get the Minion bottles and I did. It's the cutest thing ever and I know I sound like a child, but I mean look at how cute it is!

YES, this is the car from Back to the Future! I've seen so many remakes that it was nice to see the real one in front of me! It's so cool to think the actors in the film were in there at one point.

For school I read Unbroken, and it was such a great book! I waited until I fully read it till I saw the movie and let me tell ya, it was heart breaking yet gave so much hope. It was super awesome to see this outfit from the actual movie right in front of me.

In the end we saw King Kong(!!), but mostly just had a great time! I'm thankful for getting the   opportunity to go to Universal Studios and making memories with my family.

5th Grade Scrapbook

Hellllloooooo! I wanted to post about my 5th grade scrapbook as a #tbt. So I looked at it today as I was filling up a new scrapbook with pictures of Disney World,  AZ, Wicked backstage and more. I laughed cause first of all I took TOO MANY selfies in 5th grade... [does that mean I started the whole "selfie" thing?] I decided to take a [sorta] selfie with my famous orange scrapbook.
[Excuse the background] YES I decorated it ALL by myself. The foam letters that I colored over marker with still come off on your hand after all these years...
I smiled at all the pages and grammatical errors and horrible handwriting. Glad that I now can look back at this orange scrapbook and laugh at everything [in a great way of course]!
I ended with...
"The End
of my first scrapbook
it was fun making it.
My mom made one
too it was fun
spending time with
her and hanging
out together as
you can see I
went to summer
camp and my
birthday and
we went everywhere
this year (2008-2009)
I finished on 2/18/09
bye I gotta go.
End"

Independence Day

    Hello Bloggeristas,
This weekend, as you may have noticed, was Independence Day! This weekend did feel very LONG, but that isn't a bad thing! It was a fun-filled and included family + friends. On Independence Day my fam went to two places. One party in the morning/day, then one party at night. We were surrounded by church friends and family, which made it all the more better!
I obviously had to take my camera! I took some snapshots of my friends. Faith is on the left, Katia is in the middle, and Hannah on the right. They're probably all laughing at what Katia said ;)
We also tried taking cool pics, and we (kinda) did. Kat & I did a yoga pose, while Faith & Hannah did a muscle pose. Note that I  look like I'm about to eat Faith's shoulder, but trust me I'm not! (lol)
Everyone was so fascinated by the fireworks. These types of fairy dust fireworks are my FAVE! It reminds me of Tinker Bell. The finale was the best! Fireworks blowing up everywhere is the prettiest sight!
We had to end the night with sparkler lettering! I've never taken a picture like this with sparklers, but I have with candles for a photography project. I LOVE how it turned out, though I kinda burned myself just a tad bit. I had a fun Fourth of July and will cherish the precious memories made!
